As you noticed the post is titled day 25, which means I’m all done! Time to share my results with you all;
So as you all know I don’t own a scale so I have no idea what my starting and finishing weights were, what I CAN tell you is my clothes are fitting looser, so that counts for something right?
Day 1 measurements:
- Chest: 32″
- Waist: 28″
- Hips: 34″
- Thigh: 19″
Day 25 measurements:
- Chest: 30″
- Waist: 27″
- Hips: 33″
- Thigh: 17″
And the before and after picture!:
I think what’s most important about all of this though is that I feel better, and it’s helped me get a handle on some of the really nasty eating habits I had which is ultimately what holds me back from being the best version of myself.
If you’re interested in doing your own 24 Day Challenge you can check it out here.
These are some of the biggest tips I can give to anyone who decides to do a 24 Day Challenge;
- If you mess up, just keep going. We all make mistakes and I definitely had a few slips ups.
- Get a couple flavors of meal replacements if you can. I’m not going to lie, I am now thoroughly sick of chocolate peanut butter meal replacements.
- Make sure you’re well prepared. I was pretty lost about what to buy for snacks and stuff going into this, so I was starving the first couple of days. So just make sure you go on shopping trip first, with a list in hand.
Overall, I had my good days and bad days during this challenge, and it wasn’t always easy but I would definitely do it again in a heartbeat!
Well folks, I’m officially down a pants size. So that’s exciting right? I’m not going to lie I’m a little disappointed that my waist is still measuring at 28″ but there’s still 8 days to go! I’ve been slacking on my water intake too because I’m just so sick of water! I’ve been trying to add lemons and such to it to try to change it up a bit.
During tis second phase of the 24 Day Challenge you have a meal replacement one a day, and I must say the chocolate peanut butter ones are pretty bomb, so if you ever think about doing meal replacements I’d most definitely give them a shot! Plus, they have 24 grams of protein!
Happy Wellness Wednesday! And happy day 7 to me! I’m over half way done with my cleanse phase! I think the biggest change so far is my energy levels. It used to be pretty normal for me to sleep 10 or 11 hours a night, crazy right? Now I’m down to sleeping a pretty normal 8 hours and I feel amazing.
On a side note, grocery shopping for snacks is incredibly hard once you realize almost everything we consume has added sugar or partially hydrogenated oils, both things I’m banned from eating while cleansing. Here’s some of my favorite snacks I’ve found so far;
- All natural peanut butter (Adams is my favorite) with banana, celery, or apples.
- Hummus and Blue Diamond Nut Thins
- One Potato Two Potato sweet potato chips
What are some of your guys favorite healthy snacks? Leave ’em in the comments!
I was doing some measurements today to see if anything has changed, but I didn’t notice anything too significant, until I got to my thighs that is. I’ve lost a whole inch off my thighs already! I’m excited, and quite frankly a little surprised to see how quickly this cleanse phase is making things happen.
More importantly than all that though, is I’m starting to feel better.
So I’m not going to lie, the first day of this 10 day cleanse phase was incredibly hard. I was so hungry I wanted to eat everything but my options are limited. The hunger pangs were better by day 2, but now I’m facing a new beast. I’ve never been a healthy eater, and going from eating like crap every day to suddenly eating extremely healthy apparently kind of pisses your body off.
Holy sugar withdrawals. I’m having the worst headaches on the planet, BUT turns out eating fruit really helps, and I can have as much of that as I want. Hallelujah! So there’s a pro tip if you’re trying to cut out sugar, don’t give up and reach for the cookies instead, eat some fruit! Apples dipped in all natural peanut butter is a nice treat.
I have zero idea if I’ve lost any weight, because as I’ve stated in earlier posts I do not own a scale because they’re evil(the weight oh my day 1 post was a rough estimate because it made me put a number in. How annoying). Other than these dang headaches though, I feel better. I’ve been sleeping less and doing more. I can’t wait to see where I’m at by day 11!
